The Emergency Planning seminar we held in November was such a success! Many thanks to Gibsons Rotary and especially Helen Macham for partnering with us. Mike Andrews of GetSet Consulting (and his wife!) did an awesome job of informing us of what we can do to be prepared. There are a lot of different scenarios as to what a disaster might look like.  Certainly the BIG earthquake most of us have stopped holding our breaths about, but also fire (as we sadly saw an entire town in California get wiped out this summer, not to mention our own Interior) and floods and landslides can be a real concern too. Regardless, being prepared has proven to be the best way to survive what mother nature might throw at us.

Apparently we can expect that the Sunshine Coast will not be helped for up to TWO WEEKS if not more. PLEASE pay attention.

THE WPNA Board is creating a Neighbourhood ER Plan and we need YOU to participate. We will be sending out a survey soon to collect data and we will be holding a meeting along with our AGM on April 29th - stay tuned for details.
